BAE Systems Samlesbury
Award winning Samlesbury site entrance and buildings.
The aerospace industry is vital to the North West. At Samlesbury the investment and development currently being undertaken offers big benefits to the aerospace sector and to the region as a whole.
This investment and development will ensure we are able to deliver a number of internationally important aircraft programmes. The investment is also helping to strengthen the future of aerospace in Lancashire through the retention of technology and knowledge within the region. The development also creates excellent long-term prospects for employment and will provide the innovation and technology to support current and future manufacturing programmes.
One of the benefits of the development is that it helps to co-locate a range of essential activities to achieve a step change in performance and is an example of how BAE Systems is working to transform the air sector and provide improved levels of support, and increased value to our customers.
The Samlesbury development is firmly aligned to the regions economic strategy and will benefit the whole of the aerospace industry in the North West.
The development features new office accommodation, the expansion of manufacturing facilities, a new site entrance and reception building together with significant infrastructure improvements.
As part of our commitment to ensuring the local community is kept fully informed about the development, we have produced a series of newsletters which provide updates on plans and progress to date.
Copies of all newsletters issued to date are available through the links below.
