Andrew Davies
In July 2003, Andrew became BAE Systems' Group Strategy Director, responsible for the management of corporate M&A and the development of corporate strategy.
In October 2004 he was Managing Director of Land Systems, combining the newly acquired Alvis plc with BAE Systems RO Defence business. He returned to the role of Group Strategy Director in June 2008. Previously, from 2000 to 2003, he worked in the company's Military Aircraft Division in Warton, Lancashire prior to taking up the appointment as Managing Director - Training Solutions in the Customer Solutions and Support Division based in Farnborough.
In 1998, Andrew moved to the U.A.E., where he set up and was General Manager of Oasis International Leasing, a Joint Venture publicly quoted leasing company based in Abu Dhabi.
From 1985 to 1997 he spent time in various commercial roles, culminating in his appointment as General Manager of the Asset Management Jets business in 1996. Andrew joined British Aerospace Civil Aircraft Division in 1985, having graduated from Sheffield University with a Business Degree.
Andrew is a Fellow of the British American Project, and has sat on the Boards of the CBI South East Divisional Committee and Intellect, the UK electronic industries trade association.
