Joint Capabilities

Electronic Warfare - BAE Systems Australia has the largest industry EW capability in Australia with an unprecedented 25 years EW experience in system design and development, test, evaluation and in-service support.

The EW Systems group provides expertise that spans the Electronic Support (ES), Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP), system T & E and in-service support environments.

C4 Systems - provides communications and in-service support capability across all domains and is a leading satellite communications (SATCOM) provider.

Intelligence and Information Systems - develop military messaging, spatial information systems, integrated ICT Solutions, multi-level cross-domain information security and a range of specialist information management, security and intelligence products.

Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems - provides integrated surveillance systems and intelligent video capability, as well as critical infrastructure protection/security technologies, and support for the Australian Defence Force's Over-The-Horizon-Radar (OTHR) capability.

The Airborne Early Warning and Control Business Unit is the major sub contractor to Boeing in delivering support to the development of the Wedgetail system for the ADF.

With approximately 250 employees, the Unit has completed delivery of the ground systems component of the Wedgetail project and is now supporting the prime contractor in the delivery of electronic warfare and mission support programs.

Following delivery of these programs, the Joint Business Unit will assume responsibility for supporting this capability.
