Product and Support Group

The Product and Support Group (PSG), with a focus on 'third-party' maintenance, repair and overhaul, provides customers with deeper level maintenance support from strategically located depots. It maintains a wide range of third-party products for defence customers including the civil communications, naval vessels, Mulloka sonar system, Collins class submarine periscopes, Tacan beacons, surveillance radars and a variety of avionics systems.

Precision Optical Component manufacture and Test Engineering complement and embrace the support philosophy. Test Engineering expertise extends to design, development and implementation of Special to Type Test Equipment and Automated Test Equipment. An electro-optics facility produces world-class thermal imagers deployed with a number of navies, lasers and night vision systems deployed with the Royal Australian Army, and muzzle velocity systems currently in use with 15 countries.

Operations Support Group (OSG)

The Manufacturing Group provide cost effective, process focussed production solutions consistently meeting stringent Military Standard specifications and requirements. Its primary function is to provide project hardware, either produced internally or via approved subcontractors, to other sectors within our business or to external customers. Manufacturing managed programs support Australian Industry Involvement and are reported using Earned Value Techniques. The MRPII production control system, supporting just in time and batch production strategies as required by customer / project demand, is in place for the maintenance of materiels traceability and product configuration control.

Support Services

Support Services delivers operations and maintenance capability by managing skilled human capital. This involves turnkey operational support of military facilities and managed labour hire.

Our customers are those that require specialist technical skills, both at professional and trade levels. We offer flexible levels of out-sourcing, ranging from customer managed tasking of our staff as part of their organisation, through to fully contractor-managed operations.

Support Services provides air and technical personnel with a variety of trade specialities to support the Royal Airforce of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This business is known as the Al Yamamah project and the Support Services business provides recruitment and payroll services for these personnel.

Support Services provides an interpretation service to the Department of Defence. This includes the provision of 24 hours per day, 7 days a week support to Defence, where operational control is maintained by defence and administrative control maintained by Support Services.

Support Services provides a Clothing Store service in the Riverina district that includes the initial issue of military clothing to new army recruits at the Kapooka Military Area and the support of all replacement-clothing requirements to personnel located at the Kapooka Military Area and at the RAAF Base at Wagga Wagga.
