Dan Gobel
Dan Gobel is president of the Platform Solutions business within BAE Systems’ Electronics, Intelligence & Support (EI&S) operating group.
Based in Johnson City, New York, Platform Solutions serves military and commercial customers with capabilities and products that improve operational safety and enhance mission effectiveness. The business employs more than 4,300 people worldwide.
EI&S, with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, employs more than 33,000 people and serves the electronics, services, information technology, and power and controls markets. The group provides a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications, as well as integrated technical and professional service solutions for U.S. national security and federal markets.
Gobel previously served as vice president and general manager of the Electronic Combat Solutions business area within the EI&S Electronic Solutions business. Prior to that, he led the company’s work in advanced platform electronic warfare systems. Before joining BAE Systems in 1992, Gobel held engineering and program management positions at General Dynamics Corp.’s Fort Worth Division.
He received a master’s degree in engineering from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
