Operating military systems such as weapons and vehicles correctly is crucial, for safety- as well as economical reasons.
Virtual training allows students to operate their systems in realistic environment, no matter the circumstances, preparing them for their real world tasks.
BAE Systems C-ITS has a long history of developing virtual training systems. The Air Defence Combat Training Centre, installed at and practised by the Swedish Air Defence Regiment, is one good example. Crew and command training is exercised against simulated enemies in virtual terrain under conditions very close to reality.
