Individual Protection Systems, through its Protection Systems business, provides military and commercial products and services to our warfighters across the globe. Since 1969, our legacy products have included an array of helmets, body armor, load carrying equipment, aircrew survivability, Cleargard®, seating platforms for ground vehicles and aviation as well as transparent and composite armor. While many of our customers include U.S. and International militaries, BAE Systems launched its ECLiPSE® Performance Gear product line in 2008 to meet the needs of our commercial markets through a vast distributor network.

Protection Systems is dedicated to our end-users. That’s why we heavily invest in research and development to engineer equipment that will protect our men and women in uniform from emerging threats. Additionally, we focus on incorporating technologies and lightweight materials new to the industry and implementing weight-saving features without compromising safety. Whether our user is in a vehicle or aircraft, on foot patrol or guarding their base, our aim is to protect. We are committed to our customers and are dedicated to providing superior protection from the threats they face, sustaining their current equipment through our Readiness and Sustainment program and developing new products, like our Releasable Body Armor Vest-AF, for both now and the future.
