BAE Systems promotes a safety culture through the adoption of engineering and management principles and techniques designed to reduce the risk of any hazard within the constraints of operational effectiveness, time and cost, throughout all phases of the product's life, including disposal. We educate through training and manage risk through a structured programme using recognised processes and standards.
BAE Systems has a diverse internal and external customer base. We have a broad and realistic understanding of safety management requirements and is involved with many diverse tasks from the development of individual safety case reports for equipments and systems, to the management of safety for Integrated Project Teams.
