Regional Aircraft’s customer base continues to grow.

Regional Aircraft’s customer base continues to grow with current customers extending their contracts and new customers signing long-term aircraft lease and support packages. This growth results from the drive to reduce costs and Regional Aircraft’s ability to meet the demanding service levels customers have come to expect. Our focus on integrated support and reducing costs will support the BAE Systems aircraft fleet for years to come.

Our Asset Management business is an acknowledged pioneer and leader in asset management with a trading portfolio of some 300 aircraft. We are the world's largest regional aircraft lessor by fleet size and the second largest regional jet lessor by fleet value. We ensure our aircraft portfolio provides a competitive product whilst developing new opportunities and markets. And to meet growing demand, freighter applications of the ATP and also, potentially, of the BAe146 are being offered.

Trading and Management Services with its leasing and portfolio management expertise continues to gain more mandates on non-BAE Systems aircraft and is recognised as an innovative aircraft leasing and portfolio service provider.

Our engineering team is key to supporting the in-service fleet and providing long-term product integrity. Our expertise is being used to develop variants of existing products such as the ATP Freighter and BAe 146 Airtanker. And our experience on the Nimrod MRA4 programme is being used to win third party revenue from a number of other aircraft manufacturers.

Training

Customer Training is based at our Woodford facility and consists of two BAe 146 simulators, one Jetstream 31/32 simulator and an ATP simulator. The facility also houses six fully equipped multimedia classrooms with two further specialist Computer Based Training (CBT) and Computer Aided Training (CAT) classrooms.
