The Company additionally recognises eight Public (Bank) Holidays each year.

Maternity Leave

BAE Systems offers a maternity leave entitlement of up to 26 weeks, irrespective of length of service. Upon completion of maternity leave, employees have the option of returning to work on reduced hours equivalent to 60% of standard hours for the first 13 weeks in order to assist in re-acclimatising to work - pay and benefits being adjusted appropriately. Paternity, Adoption, Parental and Dependent Leave are all covered within our Work Life Balance Policy – some being dependent upon length of service and business unit requirements. These entitlements being significantly ahead of statutory levels.
