SURFACE SHIPS

WHAT WE DO

Surface Ships was established in July 2008 and brings together the surface warship building and through-life support operations of BAE Systems and VT Group, including their joint venture, Fleet Support Limited.

Surface Ships is the UK's leading provider of surface warships and through-life support, a world-class industrial partner for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and a leader in the global export market for warships and innovative naval surface ship support. This means we’re involved in advanced, major projects like the development of the Type 45 Destroyer programme and we also have the manufacturing contract with the MoD to participate in the production of two new 65,000 tonne aircraft carriers. These will be the largest surface ships ever built in the UK.

With projects like these in hand, we want people who have the imagination and skill to keep us right at the forefront of surface fleet solutions technology.

YOUR DEVELOPMENT

Our Best Practice graduate programme runs in tandem with your development plan.
