REGIONAL AIRCRAFT

WHAT WE DO

Our Regional Aircraft Business unit, based at Prestwick, is responsible for the engineering and logistics support to a fleet of 800 regional jet and turboprop aircraft previously manufactured by the company. Regional Aircraft's engineering team is comprised of experienced engineers whom for the past 10 years have excelled in applying their broad aircraft skills, of engineering and integration, to support a variety of internal and external customers across several adjacent project areas. In our core business, BAE Systems Regional Aircraft remains one of the few businesses in Europe with complete commercial aircraft design and engineering capabilities. This covers not just world-wide fleet support, technical governance and certification for our own aircraft, but also modifications, conversions and special role aircraft. Our expertise has travelled further, notably to Airships, the rail industry, UAV's and the Royal Navy's future carrier.
