  • David Mullin
    Manager, Investment In Innovation, Strategic Capability Solutions

    Dave has worked for BAE Systems since 2001 in numerous roles within the National Security and Resilience teams and the corporate research centre. He has managed Investment In Innovation since the summer of 2008. Dave is also a non-executive director of SITC, the Security Innovation & Technology Consortium.

  • Matt Chuter
    Commercial Manager, Investment In Innovation, Strategic Capability Solutions

    Matt has worked for BAE Systems for 9 years over a variety of different commercial roles and several different locations, principally Warton and Samlesbury, Saudi Arabia, Farnborough, Frimley and the Isle of Wight.

    18 months ago Matt transferred to the Head Office Business Unit that looks to demonstrate and exploit early lifecycle capabilities pan-company, before transitioning the capability to an appropriate Operating Business Unit.  Matt is the commercial lead for c.£15m of technology investment funding distributed across a wide range of academic institutions, government and industry partners.  Part of this role is to be the Commercial Manager for BAE Systems Investment In Innovation programme - which complements our own technology innovation through partnered investment in SME's in the Defence and Security Sectors, typically in return for future revenue share.

  • Ian Fuller
    Project Accountant, Investment In Innovation, Strategic Capability Solutions
    Ian joined EASAMS Ltd. (part of the GEC Marconi group) in 1996 following a degree in Physics with Electronics at the University of Kent at Canterbury. He worked in a variety of Software Engineering, Operational Analysis and Project Management roles within EASAMS (and, following the merger of GEC Marconi and British Aerospace, BAE Systems). He transferred into BAE Systems' Finance function in 2002, where his background has been advantageous in understanding the variety of technical issues facing the company's projects and the financial impact of these. He now supports the company's Research and Technology programmes, including Investment in Innovation.
     
  • Alex Ashford
    Project Management Authority, Investment In Innovation, Strategic Capability Solutions

    Alex has worked for BAE Systems since 2005, managing a number of software development projects, predominantly in the technical publications and customer support arena.  She joined the Strategic Capability Solutions team in July 2009, where her role includes providing project management governance to support the delivery of the Investment in Innovation programme.

  • Stephen Anderson
    Counsel Programmes & Support, BAE Systems
    Stephen is a commercial and regulatory lawyer advising BAE Systems on, amongst other things, its investment in future technology through the Investment in Innovation fund.  Stephen began his legal career in private practice as a company commercial lawyer advising on corporate mergers and acquisitions within the technology, insurance and media sectors.  Stephen then transitioned to work within industry by becoming legal adviser to a company operating within the air traffic management sector, in particular advising on the interaction with military operations.  After this, Stephen joined BAE Systems in 2008 in order to specialise in providing legal advice on defence contracting and technology.
