BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft Announces Jetspares Support Deal For Air Botnia

21 Aug 2003

BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has built upon its success in negotiating the recent long-term lease of the final four Avro RJ regional jetliners to Finnish airline, Air Botnia, by announcing today the completion of a new JetSpares support contract with the airline.

The deal provides spare parts support for the four new aircraft as well as the existing fleet of five Avro RJ85s.

Alan Fraser, Managing Director of BAE Systems Regional Aircraft commented, The completion of this JetSpares support contract at the same time as the long term lease of these aircraft to Air Botnia, highlights the value of having an integrated value-added approach to our customers. Air Botnia is a great customer and we are delighted to be able to help and support them in their expansion programme.

JetSpares is an individually customised support programme, designed to allow an airline to concentrate on its operations while BAE Systems takes care of spares inventory, logistics and repairs. There are over 100 BAe 146/Avro RJs in the JetSpares programme with the priority of keeping the airlines business running smoothly by providing a first-class spares support service and fixed monthly costs.
