MOJAVE, California — BAE Systems’ Federal Aviation Administration-certified maintenance and repair facility in Mojave has achieved the highest level of certification conferred by the International Aerospace Quality Group.
BAE Systems is among the first aerospace companies in the nation to receive AS9110 registration by BSI Management Systems of Reston, Virginia, an international standards, testing, registration, and certification organization. By obtaining the certification, BAE Systems demonstrates that it consistently meets customer and regulatory requirements.
Leaders of the BAE Systems Mojave business will receive the accreditation certificate on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at the company’s Shibley Hall, Building 56 at the Mojave Airport.
“Our certification to the AS9110 standard demonstrates that BAE Systems is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality of service and that we continually focus on improving customer satisfaction,” said Dan Ferns, director of Performance Excellence for BAE Systems in Mojave.
The Society of Automotive Engineers’ Aerospace Division published the AS9110 standard in recognition of the unique requirements of the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul industry. The standard enhances customer satisfaction by promoting continuous improvement in the maintenance and repair environment.
