ADELAIDE, Australia – BAE Systems will donate $100,000 to the Victorian Bushfire Fund set up by the Victorian and Federal Governments, and the Australian Red Cross.
BAE Systems Australia’s Managing Director Jim McDowell said today that the company also planned to match dollar for dollar personal contributions to the Fund by its employees.
“We have nearly 1 900 employees in Victoria. Two have lost their homes and possessions, and hundreds of others have been indirectly affected.
“On behalf of every BAE Systems employee, I would like to express my deepest sympathies to those who have suffered losses as a result of these bushfires and to the people of Victoria who have experienced Australia’s worst natural disaster,” Mr McDowell said.
