Signage

Signage_Preview

This section is intended principally for architects and site managers who will select the appropriate signage from the approved systems, taking individual factors into consideration. Trying to install a complete set of new signs can be difficult. Wherever possible, use existing structures and mountings, and consider completing the task gradually over an extended time span.

Site survey and risk assessment

When a position for an external sign is chosen, a full site survey should be completed by the signage manufacturer/Facilities Manager to ensure suitability of a site for installation. Facilities Managers may also need to complete a risk assessment of the intended site for the sign. Refer to company policy on this issue. It is the Facilities Manager's responsibility to ensure that these are carried out.

Specifying signage

No templates exist for signage - follow the drawings within the Brand Standards section. However, when creating signage, you will need the arrow eps that can be downloaded from this page. This provides you with the standard arrows to be used on signage. You will also need the BAE Systems Logo and ITC Franklin Gothic typeface for Mac or PC - use the related links to download these files.

Logo and Tagline, Sub-brands and other logos

Do not use the Logo and Tagline on any external or internal signage. Only the BAE Systems Logo is allowed on internal and external signage. Do not use any other logos.

For more information

The above information is only a summary of the Brand Standards in this area. Please download the relevant Brand Standards section and any templates or files from the Downloads box on this page. All internal or external communications require sign-off prior to production by your Brand Champion - you will need to allow enough time for this to take place. Find their details on Managing our brand in the top navigation.
