BAE Systems manufactures ballistic glass for a variety of tactical wheeled vehicles, commercial and special-purpose vehicles, including the HMMWV, FMTV, FHTV, MRAP, HIMARS and other add-on armor programs. As a result of our ongoing commitment to company-funded Research & Development, we provide on-time, cost-effective solutions to respond to the immediate demands of an ever changing threat environment. The ballistic glass meets all commercially available threats as well as STANAG, TACOM and ARL threat requirements and has exceptional light transmissivity for both daylight and night time operations requiring NVG capability. It utilizes the latest technologies available in the industry, such as performance strike layer coatings and includes advance glass ceramics such as ALON and Heated Windscreen technology among others when appropriate.
