BAE Systems has a 30-year history of dewar development and production.
BAE Systems has an excellent history in the volume manufacture of first-generation mercury cadmium telluride detectors. It also offers extensive repair and maintenance capabilities. The company has manufactured and delivered more than 45,000 common module detectors, more than 15,000 maverick missile seekers, and more than 250 chemical agent detector units.
Common module detectors
BAE Systems produces a full range of common module detectors, and depending on the customer's needs, these are furnished with or without cryogenic coolers.

Maverick missile seekers
With more than 15,000 units shipped, the BAE Systems Maverick missile seeker gyro-optics assembly represents another example of the company's excellent production capability. As these systems age, replacement detectors and subassemblies are available for purchase.
Chemical agent detectors
BAE Systems continues in its valuable role as supplier of the U.S. Army's detector assemblies for its chemical agent detection systems. Having been the sole supplier for the M21 remote sensing chemical agent alarm for the Army chemical and biological defense command, the company now produces the detector assemblies for the follow-on joint-service lightweight standoff chemical agent detector (JSLSCAD.)
