Buildings or equipment may have been left in an unsafe condition with the possibility of accumulated hazardous materials in plant, process pipe work, drains & sumps, etc.
Derelict sites are often home to protected species of flora and fauna which must also be relocated prior to any redevelopment or re-use. With over ten years experience in the decommissioning of chemical and explosives processing facilities, Environmental Services will develop and execute a detailed, safe and cost effective decommissioning strategy including where necessary:
- A detailed site characterisation of buildings; - a survey (including asbestos if necessary) will be carried out for each building.
- Primary screening and clearance of individual buildings.
- Plant removal and building decontamination.
- Client inspection and acceptance.
