RAD750® Family of Products

The RAD750® family of radiation-hardened products includes the most technologically advanced microprocessor and space computers ever offered to the space community.

The RAD750 microprocessor can be sold as a stand-alone microprocessor chip or on a single-board computer in CompactPCI 3U, 6U, or custom form factors. Generations beyond competing products under development, the RAD750 microprocessor represents the rad-hard equivalent of the most advanced commercial microprocessor. As BAE Systems' third-generation microprocessor, it is the natural successor to our highly successful and space-proven RAD6000® processor.

BAE Systems continues to enhance the RAD750 product family. Currently a 1 Mrad radiation-hardened RAD750, capable of running at 200+ MHz, is in test. A next-generation, companion application-specific integrated circuit is also nearing completion and will add integrated support for SpaceWire, 1553, and dual PCI busses (one 32-bit and one 64-bit).

The C-RAM™ non-volatile memory device being developed by BAE Systems is a planned replacement for Local NV-memory and SuROM on future flight products, eliminating the need for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) on the processor cards.

Virtutech Simics provides a virtualized instance of the RAD750, designed specifically to support software development efforts. This full system simulator includes the RAD750 microprocessor and devices found on the RAD750 3U, 6U, and 6U extended boards. The simulator reduces risks and allows software development long before physical hardware is even available. This feature helps to ensure that projects are finished on time and within budget.
