Mission-specific Applications, Operations, and Support

Mission-specific applications, operations, and support

  • Lifecycle support: acquisition through operations and enhancement
  • Application software development, integration, and insertion
  • Independent system and enterprise test and evaluation
  • All-source analysis
  • Imagery exploitation, GIA, and targeting
  • Portal and multimedia development
  • Data warehousing, visualizing, and mining
  • Legacy system operation and maintenance

Key Differentiators:

  • Solution framework compatible with FEA standards
  • Capability maturity model integration (CMMI – Level 3)
  • Security engineering (DITSCAP/NIST 800-37)
  • Improved software quality through risk awareness
  • Enhanced system interoperability
  • Standardized engineering practices
  • Improved “time to market” for mission critical applications
  • Improved software serviceability with reduced life cycle support costs

PROJECT SHOWCASE

BAE Systems’ Biometric Support Centers (BSCs) are engaged in real-time and frequently high-volume fingerprint identification processes, often including complex latent fingerprint matching. Operating on both coasts, the BSCs support the Department of Homeland Security US-VISIT program’s biometric identification responsibilities. The director of US-VISIT has proclaimed the BSCs to be the program’s “Crown Jewel.”

BAE Systems’ world-class solution for enterprise operations and maintenance, Consolidated Application Integration (CAI), recently helped a government customer cut costs by almost 40 percent for 40+ production systems, while delivering consistently high levels of service satisfaction. CAI provides a standard methodology for reporting resource expenditures, consolidates support under one contract, and provides a surge capacity for multiple IT applications. CAI puts IT applications under standard configuration management processes, and produces lifecycle documentation.
