Long-range hyperspectral imaging system (LORHIS)
The long-range hyperspectral imaging system (LORHIS) is revolutionizing conventional reconnaissance.
Configurable to both manned and unmanned aircraft, LORHIS automatically detects and identifies camouflaged, concealed, and deceptive targets, as well as chemical gas plumes invisible to the naked eye. Bandwidth is significantly reduced through the use of image chipping, and only actionable information is presented to an image analyst. By eliminating unnecessary information and positively identifying targets according to their hyperspectral signature, LORHIS supports the goal of a single digit sensor-to-shooter cycle.
