Threat Matrix Generator
Enhances ALE-47 and other countermeasures dispenser systems
The digital cockpit display unit (DCDU) threat matrix generator (TMG) provides the user with the capability to create, modify, and save mission data files for the ALE-47 DCDU. These mission data files are used to define countermeasure dispensing activity when the DCDU is used without an ALE-47 programmer.
The TMG presents the operator with mission data files data screens grouped in a logical array. The TMG verifies that all values entered by the user are within acceptable ranges for each parameter. Any unacceptable entries will automatically be rejected. The TMG saves the mission data files in a file format compatible with BAE Systems’ universal memory loader verifier.
The DCDU TMG requires the following operating environment:
- PC running Windows 95/98/2000/NT
- Screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels
The DCDU TMG software consists of a single application, which provides the following functionality:
- Create new DCDU mission data files
- Read existing DCDU mission data files from disk
- Verify integrity of DCDU mission data files and save them to disk
- Print an English-readable report of the mission data files contents
The DCDU TMG reads and writes Intel hex-formatted mission data files (.HEX), and also writes report files (.LOG). The default directory for these files is the application directory.
