We provide an integrated design, simulation, prototyping and manufacturing service. The tools we use are all configured to de-risk development and delivery ensuring your product meets quality, reliability and cost targets.
Design
Our portfolio encompasses the design, modelling and development of special purpose electro-mechanical products for a wide range of operational environments. These include aerospace, satellite communication antennas, tooling and test rigs, robotic applications, optical equipment, stabilised platforms and microwave components.
We make use of Pro/Engineer CAD software, which is fully integrated with both our analysis and manufacturing tools. As well as being able to fully model design solutions, this facilitates a concurrent engineering approach, which shortens the product design time, and reduces the risk of hardware problems.
Structural Simulation
Product testing is a time-consuming and costly exercise. Structural simulation enables the performance of your product design to be predicted early in the development cycle before commitment to manufacture. Design changes and their impact can be easily modelled, and designs optimised to meet weight, strength and manufacturing constraints.
Simulation will provide you with the knowledge to progress to manufacture with increased confidence in product performance. Using finite element software, we are able to simulate complex operating environments occurring in scenarios such as the deflection of a structures due to wind load, vibration and shock resulting from transportation and handling, stresses induced by aircraft manoeuvring and landing, and fatigue life in service.
Manufacture
We specialise in rapid prototype manufacture in metal and plastic, low volume production, specialist machining and fitting, high precision machining and quality control and inspection. In addition to established machining tools, we operate CNC mills and lathes, which can be directly programmed from CAD models. We have a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) facility for the inspection of machined components.
Our Rapid Prototyping centre can drastically reduce timescales and risk associated with the development of new products. Fused deposition modelling (FDM) machines allow the creation of concept models direct from CAD data, allowing you to quickly and cost effectively visualise and verify your product before committing to manufacture.
