Technology Conference - Bryan Hore
Bryan Hore is leading BAE Systems' approach to combating piracy on the high seas, bringing together existing technologies to develop a modular solution to detect, identify and track pirates.
Bryan began his career at Ferranti Naval Systems as a trainee software engineer whilst being sponsored to study at Portsmouth University. After graduating in computer science Bryan continued to work on a number of programmes at Ferranti, specialising in Command, Control and Communication (C3) systems for the UK nuclear submarine fleet.
In 1993, Bryan moved to BaeSema (now BAE Systems) to work as a software engineer on the machine monitoring system for the Trident submarine. He then moved through the ranks, undertaking roles as team leader, development lead and system integration lead on a number of C2 and C3 programmes before moving into programme management in 1996.
Bryan continued to work in programme management on large-scale communications projects until 2003, when he moved on to lead the missile defence activities of C4ISR. In 2006, Bryan joined BAE Systems' Strategic Capability Solutions business as the strategic business development lead for missile defence. Since then, Bryan has worked in a number of areas to support business development relating to missile defence, training, NATO, deterrent, piracy and maritime protection.
